FIFA has given the Egyptian FA until October 24 to amend some articles of its regulations or risk being sanctioned, FilGoal.com understands. The world governing body will punish the EFA three days after the deadline if its requirements are not met. In a letter sent to the EFA, FIFA demanded that the sub-committees of the country's association be headed by board members. The current internal regulations allow persons who are not officially associated with the EFA to head the sub-committees such as the competition and referees' committees. FIFA also said that the EFA should not make any decisions without the approval of the general assembly. Under the current regulations, the EFA can solely make a decision in case of two successive lack of quorums. The EFA's general assembly should convene 15 days earlier than scheduled to approve the amendments. The EFA, already under fire for continuous administrative problems, is yet to comment on the matter.
