The Argentina FA have renewed their faith in manager Diego Maradona as he looks set to sign a new four-year contract. The AFA announced the news on Thursday as Maradona will have a meeting with chairman Julio Grandona next week. Maradona's future came under scrutiny after Argentina's World Cup exit, following a 4-0 drubbing by Germany in the quarter-finals. Following the soundly defeat, the 49-year-old implied that his reign as Argentina coach could be over soon. Maradona was appointed as Argentina coach in 2008.
