Zamalek defender Mahmoud Fathallah is expected to sign a new contract with the club after the pre-season Euro tour, the Whites said in a press release on Tuesday. "Surely I have agreed to extend my contract with Zamalek, but it should be concluded after we return to Cairo," said the Egypt defender, who is currently in Switzerland with the Zamalek squad. "Zamalek were the reason behind my success, so it is a natural decision to extend my stay. "My dream was to play for Zamalek and it came true, so I am willing to stay even without asking for a pay rise." Fathallah, who runs out of contract by the summer of 2011, joined Zamalek from Ghazl Mahalla three seasons ago and has been one of the pillars of the team ever since. Zamalek are expected back in Cairo on July 15th as they kick off their league campaign against cup champions Harras Hodoud on August 5th.
