Germany captain Philipp Lahm is unwilling to give back the armband to original skipper Michael Ballack after the World Cup. Lahm took over the captain's role from his former Bayern Munich teammate after the latter was ruled out of the World Cup with an ankle injury. But the 26-year-old doesn't seem to be ready to give up the role. "I would like to keep the captain's armband—I really enjoy the role," Lahm was quoted as saying by German daily Bild. "There was no reason to give up the role voluntarily." Germany play European champions Spain for a place in the World Cup final on Wednesday.
