Gamal Hamza is considering a possible return to Zamalek after his abrupt departure from Ahli, FilGoal.com understands. The deep-lying striker joined Ahli on a free transfer after his contract with Gouna expired but he left them by mutual consent in a sudden manner. He opted to depart after learning that Ahli would not include him in their African Champions League squad. Zamalek are now holding talks with Hamza over the possibility of him rejoining his boyhood club. The 28-year-old spent nine years with the Cairo side before moving to German club Mainz in the summer of 2009. He could not keep up with the physical demands of the Bundesliga to return home without playing a single league game with Mainz. Zamalek have already signed two strikers in Ivorian Abou Kone and Iraqi Emad Ridha. Amr Zaki has also returned to the club after ending a loan spell at English side Hull City. However, the White Knights could still have room for Hamza, who usually excels when playing behind the strike duo.
