Preview: Make or break for Nigeria
Published in FilGoal on 17 - 06 - 2010

Nigeria are in desperate need of a win over Greece on Thursday to safeguard their chances of reaching the World Cup knockout phase from Group B.
The Super Eagles, who lost 1-0 to Argentina in the opener, should beat a Greece side who also suffered a defeat in their first game after losing 2-0 to South Korea.
Diego Maradona's Argentina take on Korea in the other Group game with a last-16 berth in sight.
France will be looking to erase the disappointment of their goalless draw with Uruguay when they face Mexico in Group A later on Thursday.
Nigeria V Greece
Team news:
Nigeria coach Lars Lagerback could include striker Obafemi Martins in the starting line up after he produced a fine display when introduced in the second half of the 1-0 defeat to Argentina.
Greece defender Sotirios Kyrgiakos could return to the starting eleven after coach Otto Rehhagel surprisingly left him out in the 2-0 defeat by Korea.
What they said:
"I know that my Super Eagles players will handle this situation very well so from my point of view I am very positive going into the next game. It doesn't matter if Greece had lost or won," Nigeria coach Lars Lagerback.
"We still have an opportunity and can recover after losing the first game. First of all we have to keep our mistakes to a minimum. We have to play to our full potential and give everything," Greece coach Otto Rehhagel.

Argentina will miss veteran midfielder Juan Veron due to a calf injury. Maxi Rodriguez is expected to deputize for him.
Korea striker Lee Donk-Guk is expected to return to the starting line up after recovering from an injury.
What they said:
"We had a practice game between the first team and the second team and there was hardly any difference between the two. They played at a great level; I was amazed and astonished at how great the guys are, the way they are playing," Argentina coach Diego Maradona.
"I have to admit back in 1986 when I played, we were very intimidated by Argentina. This is a very different time; we have a lot of experience now and a lot of good players," Korea coach Huh Jung-Moo.

Mexico don't have injury worries but striker Javier Hernandez, who will join Manchester United after the World Cup, may be given the nod ahead of former West Ham forward Guillermo Franco.
What they said:
"We mustn't let Mexico control possession. They've got a very, very good team but my players are really up for this game, I can sense that vibe coming from them," France coach Raymond Domenech.
