Bayern Munich officially claimed the Bundesliga title after sinking Hertha Berlin 3-1 on Saturday. The title race went right down the wire as the Bavarian giants clinched the silverware in the last day of the competition. Ivica Olic scored the opener after 60 minutes, before Hertha's Adrian Ramos brought the score level on the hour mark. Arjen Robben put Bayern in front once again on 74 minutes before completing the route three minutes from time. Bayern would have won the league title even if they had lost Saturday's match as they are five points clear of closest rivals Schalke 04, who played out a goalless draw with Mainz05 on the same day. Louis van Gaal's side would have also snatched the trophy if they had become equal on points with Schalke 04, thanks to the big goal difference between both teams.
