French champions Bordeaux succumbed to a 3-1 loss at neighbors Lyon in the UEFA Champions League quarter finals on Tuesday. Lisandro Lopez opened the scoring on 10 minutes with a close-range effort, but Moroccan star Marouane Chamakh cancelled out the home side's slender lead four minutes later. Brazilian midfielder Michel Bastos restored the home side's one-goal advantage two minutes from the half-hour mark after capitalizing on a defensive lapse to score with a clinical finish from a tight angle. Lopez completed the rout 13 minutes from time after converting a penalty kick. The second leg between both teams will be played on April 6th.
