Real Madrid are seeking to extend Gonzalo Higuain's contract for another six years after the Argentina ace put in impressive performances of late. Los Blancos' general director Jorge Valdano revealed that the Spanish giants were planning to tie the prolific hitman at Santiago Bernabeu till the end of his career. "He is a player with a perfect record," Valdano told the Spanish media. "We are talking with him but there is no rush. We want to renew his deal and for him to finish his career at Real Madrid." Higuain was the third frontline choice of Manuel Pellegrini early this season, as the Chilean coach mainly relied on Raul and Karim Benzema. His status became even worse when Pellegrini tended to deploy Cristiano Ronaldo as a lone striker. However, Higuain turned into a regular, thanks to the wastefulness of Benzema and Raul's poor run of form. Higuain, who joined Real in 2007, has scored 19 goals so far in La Liga, and now he's the league second top scorer. The 22-year-old's goal-scoring prowess was highly acclaimed after he hit a hat-trick against Real Valladolid on Sunday. Higuain's highlights
