Chelsea handed Mido's West Ham their third consecutive defeat with a 4-1 home victory in the Premier League on Saturday. Egyptian striker Mido was included in the starting line-up, partnering Brazilian Ilan upfront. He could have helped West Ham take an early lead when he squared the ball to the unmarked Ilan on the edge of the area but the former Saint Etienne man blasted his effort over the bar. Brazilian defender Alex gave Chelsea the lead after 16 minutes when he headed in a cross from Florent Malouda. West Ham midfielder Scott Parker grabbed the equalizer on 30 minutes with a powerful half-volley but Chelsea ran riot in the second half to avoid an unlikely draw. Ivorian marksman Didier Drogba scored twice either side of a strike from Malouda to help Chelsea return to the top of the table. Mido, who joined West Ham in January on loan until the end of the season, is yet to open his account with the Hammers. He was booked for a challenge on Michael Ballack early in the second half before being replaced with Carlton Cole in the 68th minute. Relegation-threatened West Ham have 27 points from 29 games, three above the danger zone. Watch the goals
