Manchester United and England ace Wayne Rooney, who's arguably in his best form ever this season, wishes he could become as popular as David Beckham at Old Trafford. Beckham, who's now plying his trade at AC Milan, had a glittering spell with the Red Devils till he moved to Real Madrid in 2003. The 34-year-old is considered to be one of United's all-time icons, and Rooney is trying to follow in his footsteps. "David Beckham was a great servant for this club and we were all delighted with the reception," said Rooney. "I have plenty of years ahead of me but if I can get half the plaudits he has I will be very happy."
