England coach Fabio Capello made it loud and clear that David Beckham wouldn't get back in the Three Lions' fold unless he had another stint at a major European competition. The veteran midfielder has joined Los Angeles Galaxy from Real Madrid since 2007, and he's understood to be keen to revive his glory on the international stage. Beckham was tipped to receive a call-up after having a successful loan spell at AC Milan last season, before returning to the Major League Soccer side. But Capello said the 34-year-old will have to ply his trade in Europe again in order to earn a place in England squad for the 2010 World Cup. "Beckham knows well that if he doesn't return to a big European championship in December he'll have no chance for the World Cup," Capello, who worked with the talented midfielder at Real, was quoted as saying by La Gazzetta dello Sport. Former Manchester United star Beckham is eager to re-join Milan, who also want him back at San Siro. Moreover, London clubs Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are believed to be seeking to land him this transfer window.
