Ahli have filed a request to the Egyptian FA to overturn the yellow card Emad Meteb picked up in Thursday's 1-1 draw with Harras Hodoud in the Premier League. The Egypt striker scored the equalizer few minutes after the restart but was booked after being involved in a heated exchange with Hodoud's goalkeeping coach Islam Youssef. Youssef, who stepped onto the pitch to check Cameroonian keeper Mathurin Kameni when he was receiving treatment, accused Meteb of verbally abusing him. However, the referee denied those claims, saying that Meteb did not make any insulting remarks but was yellow-carded for his confrontation with Youssef. "The referee's announcement shows that Meteb did not even deserve to be booked," Ahli football director Hadi Khashaba told FilGoal.com on Saturday. "We will not give up our rights, the yellow card should be overturned. "The referee had already awarded Hodoud an invalid goal, so we can not bear any other false decisions." Ahli coach Hossam Al-Badri launched a vicious attack on the EFA following his side's draw with Hodoud. The league champions were unhappy with the referee's decision to allow Ahmed Eid's opener, which should have been ruled out for an offside. The Red Devils, who eye a sixth successive league crown, said they were considering asking the EFA to bring in foreign referees for their domestic games.
