Egyptian FA President Samir Zaher said on Friday the way Nigeria handled Hassan Shehata's candidacy for their managerial seat was unacceptable. Egypt coach Shehata is included in Nigeria's five-man shortlist for their vacant position along with Swedish Lars Lagerback, Serbian Ratomir Djukovic, French Bruno Metsu and Englishman Peter Taylor. He was invited by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) to hold talks with them on February 26 over the possibility of managing the Super Eagles, who will play in this year's World Cup finals, on a temporary basis. The NFF officials will also sit down with the other candidates to settle on the best possible choice. "Shehata should not be tested, this is unacceptable," Zaher told FilGoal.com. "It is very strange that a manager of Shehata's caliber be tested. He won three Nations Cups with Egypt." Nigeria are on the lookout for a new manager after sacking Shaibu Amodu, who could only guide them to a third-place finish in the African Cup of Nations last month. Shehata said he wished to lead them in the World Cup finals in South Africa, having failed to help Egypt book a place in the football's most prestigious event. Nigeria were drawn with Argentina, South Korea and Greece in Group B of the World Cup.
