Egypt ace Mohamed Nagi 'Geddo' denied signing a contract with Zamalek before heading to the African Cup of Nations last month. A trusted Zamalek source told FilGoal.com that the Ittihad forward penned a deal with the Cairo club before extending his contract with the Alexandrians. But Geddo, whose initial Ittihad contract was due to expire in the summer, insists he is tied with the club until 2011. "I have a contract with Ittihad and I cannot join another team without my club's permission," the 25-year-old told Egyptian TV. "I have no agreement with Zamalek. It is true I met (Zamalek coach) Hossam Hassan, who is a friend of mine, but I told him to contact Ittihad first if he wants me." Geddo's unexpected dazzling in the African Cup of Nations placed him on the shortlist of several clubs, with reported interest from Premier League side Sunderland. Ittihad chairman Mohamed Moselhi also insisted that the CAN 2010 top scorer didn't sign for another club, while Zamalek have yet to make an announcement regarding the matter.
