Geddo: Zamalek won't hurt me
Published in The Egyptian Gazette on 26 - 04 - 2010

As a legal dispute between Zamalek and the Egyptian FA looms because of the controversial status of Mohamed Nagi 'Geddo', the Ittihad forward tried to ease the tension by releasing some soothing statements.
Geddo, the African Nations Cup's top scorer, has been embroiled in controversy since penning a deal to join Zamalek next term, right before extending his contract with Ittihad.
The White Knights filed a complaint to the EFA but the governing body said Geddo should remain an Ittihad player.
With the Cairo club expected to re-open the case in the off-season, Geddo is trying to end the drawn-out saga in a friendly way and avoid possible sanctions for signing for two clubs.
"Zamalek will understand my situation. My desire is to stay at Ittihad," the 25-year-old told Filgoal.com.
"The whole thing will be sorted out between both clubs. It won't be escalated any further."
Geddo said more than once that he would only leave the coastal side to realise his long-held dream to play European football.
He also dispelled rumors that he had received an offer from Ahly.
"Now I have a better chance to play abroad, that's my primary objective," Geddo reiterated.
"I haven't met with any Al-Ahly officials as some reports suggested," he added.
Geddo is believed to be targeted by Premiership side Fulham and French team Olympique Lyon.
