Coach Stephen Keshi will no longer manage Mali after the country's football federation decided not to renew his deal following the team's first-round exit from the Nations Cup. Mali finished third in Group A level on points with Algeria but bowed out due to their head-to-head record with the Desert Foxes. "The federation acknowledges the end of the technical staff's contracts," it said in a statement on Thursday. Keshi was appointed as Mali boss in April 2008 but couldn't guide them to a place at this year's World Cup finals in South Africa. He said last week that the country's football federation intervened in his squad choices during the Nations Cup that is taking place in Angola.
