AC Milan were eliminated from the quarter-finals of the Italian Cup after losing 1-0 at home to Udinese. Swiss midfielder Gokhan Inler scored the only goal of the game at San Siro to hand Milan their second defeat this week, following the 2-0 derby defeat to Inter Milan. Udinese will now face the winner of Thursday's game between Inter and Juventus in the semis. "We struggled a lot this evening, especially when trying to construct chances. Udinese are a good team and have great players in their squad," Milan boss Leonardo told the club's official site.. "Our team conceded a lot to [Udinese coach Gianni] De Biasi's team on several occasions. "On the pitch, there were a lot of players who were returning to action after lay-offs, as well as others who don't play too often but the excuses do not matter as we underperformed. "We went into the match wanting to progress in this tournament, but then we found ourselves unable to play because of the empty stadium and rhythm of the match." Milan 0-1 Udinese
