Mohamed Zidan wants to prove that Egypt deserved a place in the World Cup when they take on Algeria in the African Cup of Nations semi-final on Thursday. The African champions will re-clash with their Arab rivals for the third time in the space of three months, following a tense World Cup qualifying campaign. Zidan is looking to help his team make amends for their World Cup failure by upsetting the Fennecs in Angola. "For us it is a chance to show the world that we deserve to go to the World Cup," the Borussia Dortmund forward said. "If we beat them, we will be able to watch the World Cup with pride. "We are the ones who do not have any pressure. We are the champions and we are better than them." Zidan has yet to score for Egypt so far in CAN 2010 and has been accordingly subjected to some criticism of late.
