Manchester City hitman Carlos Tevez bagged a brace against his former club Manchester United to help the Citizens score a 2-1 home victory in the first leg of the League Cup semi-final. The Argentine ace, who joined Eastlands last year, converted a penalty on 42 minutes to cancel out the Red Devils' slender lead which was earned when Ryan Giggs poked home from point-blank range. Tevez completed the rout five minutes past the hour mark when he rose unmarked to nod home a precise cross. The second leg will take place on Wednesday at Old Trafford, and the winners will face either Aston Villa or Blackburn Rovers in the final at Wembley Stadium on February 28th.
