Roma veteran Francesco Totti stated his side are set to wrap up some deals in the winter, and dished our praise for possible arrival Luca Toni. Bayern Munich striker Toni is tipped to join the Serie A outfit in the January transfer window, after the towering ace reportedly accepted Roma's offer. Much as Toni's arrival could well result in Totti's status as a regular, the latter lauded his Italian countryman as a competent marksman. "With the winter market approaching, I'm sure that the club will do us a nice favor during the January transfer window, so that we can be even more competitive in the league and in Europe," Totti said. "I've read in the papers about several possible reinforcements, and all the names mentioned are those of good players. "Whoever joins us must be someone who makes us stronger, but I won't state my own preference as that's a task for the management and of course the coach. "Certainly I think that Luca Toni is a solid and consistent striker, and he's a world champion. The others whose names keep cropping up are also great players and I'd be pleased to see them join us."
