Manchester United's injury crisis mounts as Sir Alex Ferguson's team visit German champions Wolfsburg with Patrice Evra as the only fit and recognized defender. United's backline have been hit by a severe injury blitz, before strikers Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov joined the list recently. "It's worth trying one defender!" Ferguson joked ahead of Tuesday's Champions League tie at Volkswagen Arena. "Manchester United are always first at doing something, so we will try and do that again on Tuesday by playing with just one defender!" Nemanja Vidic, Rio Ferdinand, John O'Shea, Wes Brown, Jonny Evans, Gary Neville, Rafael and Fabio are all unavailable for the Group B clash.
