Bayern Munich boss Louis van Gaal remained defiant after his side's home defeat to Bordeaux, but admitted that making the Champions League knockouts will be difficult. The Bavarians were beaten for the second time in two weeks by Bordeaux, who cruised through to the last 16, leaving Bayern in third place with four points from as many games. Bayern now need to win their next two games against Maccabi Haifa and Juventus while hoping that Bordeaux impede the Italians. "We're not out yet. We still have a small chance, but we're dependent on Bordeaux," said Van Gaal after the game. "That was a long way from our best performance, but you have to be at your best in the Champions League."
