The Sweden ace, who notched his first Barca goal against Sporting Gijon, broke the deadlock five minutes past the hour mark. Argentina ace Lionel Messi doubled Barcelona's lead on 79 minutes. At the Estadi Cornella El Prat, Real eased to a 3-0 win over lowly Espanyol in a game that saw newly-signed playmaker Kaka provide the assists for the first two goals. Los Merengues were put in front after Esteban Granero hit the opener six minutes from the break. Guti scored the second on 77 minutes, and Cristiano Ronaldo poked his first open-play goal for the capital side to seal the victory. Real and Barcelona are now level on six points.
