Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Luka Modric is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after breaking his leg in Saturday's 2-1 win over Birmingham City. Spurs confirmed a fractured fibula for the Croatia schemer, who was injured in a challenge with Birmingham's Lee Bowyer. "X-rays have determined that Luka Modric sustained a fracture to his right fibula during Saturday's victory over Birmingham City at White Lane," a Tottenham statement read. Modric has been a key member of Harry Redknapp's side so far this season as the London club maintain a 100% record in their first four Premiership games. The 23-year-old, who is expected to be out for around six weeks, will miss Croatia's World Cup qualifier against England on September 9th.
