Petrojet overcame Zamalek because the players did not fear their more-fancied opponents, coach Mokhtar Mokhtar said. The petroleum club made it two wins out of two in the Egyptian Premier League after coming from behind to stun Zamalek 2-1 in Cairo on Thursday. The Cairo giants, who spent big in the close season to bolster their squad, were favorites to win the game after producing a superb attacking display to beat ENPPI 3-1 in the league opener. But Petrojet were worthy winners because of their courageous approach, Mokhtar believes. "We respected them, but did not fear them," the 55-year-old coach told reporters after the game. "I told my players before the game there was no need to be afraid of Zamalek, and they lived up to my expectations." Egyptian striker Mido, who joined Zamalek from English side Middlesbrough on a season-long loan, came on as a second-half substitute to make his competitive debut. He failed to make a notable impact and wasted a penalty that could have restored Zamalek's lead. "I knew that Mido was not ready for the game," Mokhtar added without elaborating.
