Juventus have talked their midfielder Christian Poulsen into leaving the club in the close season, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. The Danish international joined the Turin side from Sevilla a year ago, but couldn't establish himself as a starter last season. Juventus are reportedly planning to offload Poulsen in order to afford to sign Barcelona and Uruguay defender Martin Caceres. Poulsen also poses an unnecessary financial burden on the Old Lady, given that his yearly income is around £2 million whereas he's not playing regularly. From his side, the 29-year-old is said to be on the lookout for a new adventure to play more regular first-team football, so as he can guarantee a spot in Denmark's squad for the World Cup should they qualify. Poulsen was approached by Turkey's Fenerbahce early in the current transfer window, but the deal fell through after his wife objected to the offer.
