Juventus sporting director Alessio Secco has flied to London to make a fresh bid for Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard, according to Italian media. La Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Tuesday that a £7-million offer from the Serie A side is set to be tabled for the England midfield maestro. Speculation surrounded the 29-year-old's future at Stamford Bridge after the departure of Jose Mourinho, and Juve are hoping to take advantage. Juve manager and former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri lured Lampard from West Ham in 2001 during his spell with the Blues. The Bianconeri were desperate to sign Lampard last season but their attempts were in vain. Lampard is struggling for a starting place with England as he went down the pecking order behind Aston Villa's Gareth Barry. He is the second top player, alongside Didier Drogba, to open door for leaving Stamford Bridge following Mourinho's surprising departure.
