Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso is on the brink of joining Juventus after four hours of talks in Turin last night. Sporting director Alessio Secco and director general Jean-Claude Blanc had a meeting with Alonso's agent Inaki Ibanez to discuss the terms of the contract. According to Football Italia, Alonso has agreed a four-year deal worth £10 million. Blanc, meanwhile, traveled to England to held talks with Rafael Benitez over a transfer fee.
