Zamalek newly-signed midfielder Ibrahim Ayew said that he's sure of his abilities to book himself a place within the team's best eleven. In addition to Ayew, the White Knights already have Ahmed Al-Merghani, Ayman Abdul-Aziz and Hassan Mostafa, who all play in the Ghanaian's position. While former skipper Ayman Abdul-Aziz will return to Zamalek after a loan spell in Turkey, Zamalek signed former Ahli midfielder Hassan Mostafa alongside Ayew. "Zamalek have very good players in my position, but I'm an international player and I'm sure I will have a regular spot among them," Ayew told Al-Hayat TV. The son of former Ghana legend Abedi 'Pele' Ayew was criticised by his country's media for joining Zamalek rather than kick-off a career in Europe. "My dad advised me to move to Zamalek because they are a very big club with great fan base. Playing for this club will be a very important stage in my career." Ayew rejected to compare himself with Ghana teammate Junior Agogo, who joined Zamalek last summer but left the club months later without leaving any significant mark.
