South Africa manager Joel Santana has picked his final squad for this month's FIFA Confederations Cup on home soil. The Brazilian omitted seven players from his provisional roster, ahead of Saturday's warm-up match with Poland. "I decided to choose the 23 players who I believed had all those qualities, it was not an easy decision but because FIFA wants us to register 23 players, the decision had to be taken," said Santana. "I hope that those in the team will now focus hundred percent, what is left for me is to try to find the best eleven to face Iraq and we will use the match against Poland on Saturday to find the combinations as we continue to prepare the team." The Bafana Bafana squad didn't witness much of a surprise, apart from the exclusion of Benni McCarthy, who missed out on the initial list. Recreativo defender Nasief Morris has also been overlooked.
