Sebastian Giovinco blamed departing coach Claudio Ranieri for the disappointing season he had at Juventus. The talented winger was used mostly as a substitute during a frustrating season for the Old Lady. Italian coach Ranieri, who was dismissed after Juve risked missing out on automatic Champions League qualification, did not rely on him. "What could I do if I played only once a month?" Giovinco was quoted as saying by Calcio Italia on Saturday. "Evidently the Coach didn't like me and he did not give me the opportunity to do well." However, Giovinco is still determined to win a regular place in Juventus line-up following the sacking of Ranieri. Ciro Ferrara is currently managing the Bianconeri on a temporary basis. Giovinco, 22, eyes a place in Italy's squad ahead of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. "Of course I'd like to be in the Nazionale, but if you don't play at club level then you can't get to the Azzurri. "I want to remain at Juve to prove my worth. I know I need to earn more space in the side and this is what I will try to do. I want to give it another go with Juve."
