Zamalek could miss Al-Sayed against Asyut
Published in FilGoal on 08 - 05 - 2009

Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed's chances of making Zamalek's squad for the Egyptian Premier League game against Asyut Petroleum look remote, according to the team doctor.
The Zamalek guardian is suffering from a back complaint that is likely to rule him out of Monday's match.
"The medical team will do their best to prepare him for the game but it will be difficult for him to feature," Mostafa Al-Monayeri told the club's official website.
If Zamalek skipper Al-Sayed fails to recover in time for the match, stand-in guardian Mohamed Abdul-Monsef will deputize for him.
There will be no worries for head coach Michel Decastel as the Cairo giants have nothing to play for.
Another disappointing season saw Zamalek, who lie sixth in the league table with two matches remaining, crash out of the CAF Champions League and the Egypt Cup.
Injury Problems
Al-Sayed is Zamalek's undisputed number one but he was plagued by a succession of injuries during the past two years.
He was seen as a natural successor to Egypt's regular keeper Essam Al-Hadari, who could miss some crucial World Cup qualifiers due to alleged suspension.
Ahli said that FIFA's Dispute Resolution Chamber banned Al-Hadari for four months after he violated his contract with the Cairo giants to join Swiss side Sion.
However, Al-Sayed's fitness problems resulted in calls for Egypt coach Hassan Shehata to look for another replacement for Al-Hadari.
The Egyptian FA have recently said that clubs will be prohibited from signing foreign keepers starting next season, to help Shehata find new homegrown custodians.
