Zamalek were handed a major boost on Friday after learning that keeper Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed will be fit to play in Wednesday's rescheduled Egyptian Premier League game against Ismaili. The Cairo giants feared the worst after the experienced goalie picked up a groin injury during Zamalek's thrilling 2-2 draw at Gaish on Thursday. With two crucial clashes against Ismaili and arch rivals Ahli looming, Zamalek can ill-afford to lose their number one guardian, given the suspension of Egypt's veteran keeper Essam Al-Hadari. "Abdul-Wahed will just need few days to rest, no more than that," Zamalek doctor Mostafa Al-Monayeri told FilGoal.com. "The injury will not prevent him from playing against Ismaili." Zamalek would have been left with no choice but to field youngster Mostafa Abdul-Sattar, who is yet to make his first-team debut, had Abdul-Wahed been ruled out of the Ismaili tie. Al-Hadari, who was involved in several problems with Zamalek's board after joining in the close season, is serving a four-month suspension imposed by FIFA for violating his contract with Ahli to join Swiss side Sion in 2008. Zamalek are on top of the league table on 18 points but surprise package Police Union cal leapfrog them if they beat Smouha on Friday.
