Egypt assistant coach Hamad Sedki denied that the technical staff decided to exclude several players following Sunday's 1-1 draw with Zambia in the World Cup qualifiers. The Pharaohs opened their Group C campaign in disappointing fashion after being held by Zambia at Cairo Stadium in the qualifiers' final phase. Reports indicated that Egypt coach Hassan Shehata plans to overhaul his squad following the dismal show. Egypt's current roster boasts many stars but they failed to put in a convincing display against the unfancied Zambia. But it remains to be seen whether Shehata would make wholesale changes, according to Sedki. "We are yet to settle on Egypt's squad for the forthcoming games," he told FilGoal.com on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sedki revealed that the six-time African champions will face Oman in a friendly game in May. The match will come as a warm-up for Egypt's crunch World Cup qualifier at Algeria on the seventh of June.
