In a statement dedicated to Zamalek fans, Brazilian full-back Ricardo Alves thanked all the club faithful, urging them to stand by their team. “I'd like to make it clear that I'll never forget you,” Said Ricardo in a written and voice message directed to Zamalek fans. “I'm really sorry and sad that I have to leave Zamalek, but professional footballers are always on the move.” The 27-year-old joined Zamalek in the summer, but his spell at the club was marred by successive suspensions and inconsistent displays. Ricardo had an infamous on the pitch spat with teammate Gamal Hamza which resulted in the Egyptian FA suspending him for 3 games and fining him EGP10,000. The player has earlier told FilGoal.com that he was struggling to deal with the club's board, as well as a number of team stars. Watch Ricardo's statement
