Inter drew 1-1 with Torino in the Italian Serie A game played at Giuseppe Meazza on Sunday. Rolando Bianchi gave the visitors a 47th minute lead, before Nicolas Burdisso salvaged a point for Inter after equalizing on 58 minutes. Inter started the game without the suspended duo of Adriano and Sulley Muntari, injured defender Marco Materazzi was not available for the clash. Torino surprised their hosts with a solid start to the game, as they controlled possession for the first 15 minutes. Inter's first chance came through Julio Cruz header, but the Argentine's effort was brilliantly saved by Matteo Sereni. Torino's opener came when Ignazio Abata's cross was met by Bianchi's looping header past Julio Cruz. In the second half, Jose Mourinho had calls for a penalty waved away by the ref, after Abate held the ball in the box. However, seconds later Burdisso equalized to the Portuguese coach's delight. After Burdisso's strike, Inter pushed for a winner, and Sereni did well to keep the score level by saving two shots from Douglas Maicon and Hernan Crespo. Mourinho tried to boost his attacking options by bringing on Ricardo Qauresma, but the winger had another mediocre display and was eventually booed by the Inter fans. Despite the draw, Inter remain top of Serie A on 50 points, while Torino stay at 18th with 18.
