Title holders Inter Milan secured their second successive win in the Serie A after claiming a 3-1 away victory over Torino on Saturday. Jose Mourinho's trident attack, which is unfamiliar to Inter, once again proved effective as the Nerazzurri put in an impressive display. Adriano, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alessandro Mancini formed Inter's three-pronged attack. The visitors went ahead in the 23rd minute through Marco Pisano's own goal before a powerful Maicon shot doubled their advantage just two minutes later. Swedish in-form striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic wrapped-up the victory six minutes after the restart. Elvis Abbruscato scored a consolation for Torino in the 76th minute. "It is very difficult to dominate for 90 minutes, especially against an organized side like Torino who played without fear," Mourinho was quoted as saying by Calcio Italia. "We were stronger and could have scored even more goals, but Torino had a period in which they played better than we did." Inter, who beat Panathinaikos 2-0 in the midweek Champions League game, went top of the Serie A table with seven points. Juventus, who continued their fine start to their league campaign by edging Cagliari 1-0, have the same amount but lie second due to their inferior goal difference to Inter. Brazilian-born striker Amauri scored the winner against Cagliari six minutes before the interval.
