Brazilian striker Adriano headed home in the 24th minute to put Inter ahead and register his third goal in as many matches. Stefano Fiore put Torino level one minute before the hour mark with a powerful shot that took deflection from Marco Materazzi and floated past keeper Julio Cesar. Inter restored the lead one minute later, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic delivering a neat volley into the top left corner of the net. Materazzi sealed the win six minutes from time when he converted a spot-kick home after Adriano was brought down inside the area. The result tightened Inter's grip on the summit with 51 points, ten ahead of Roma, who will play Messina on Sunday.
