Ahli assistant coach Hossam Al-Badri said that the club need more time before issuing a final assessment on Brazilian striker Gilian. The 24-year-old, who's currently undergoing trials with the Cairo giants, scored more than twice during the team's Monday training session. However, Al-Badri told the club's official website that Gilian needs to spend more time with the team to show his capabilities as well as points of strengths and weaknesses. In case Gilian proves his worth, Ahli will have to offload one of their three foreign players prior to signing the Internacional hit man. Egyptian Football Association (EFA) regulations oblige each club to register no more than three non-Egyptians among their ranks. The Angolan duo of Flavio Amado and Gilberto and Tunisian Anis Boujelbene are already in the team's domestic list, with Boujelbene looking more likely to leave the club. The Tunisian international failed to win a regular spot at Ahli this season, and wasn't even in the squad which traveled to the Club World Cup in Japan.
