Yasser snubbed by Qatar

Ahli forward Hussein Yasser failed to make Qatar's preliminary squad for next month's Gulf Cup of Nations.
French coach Bruno Metsu did not include the talented frontman in a provisional 35-man squad, due to his lack of first team football.
Prior to joining Ahli, Yasser was a regular member of the Maroons' roster, but the 26-year-old struggled to find his place in Manuel Jose's starting line-up.
Qatar will compete in Group B against Saudi Arabia, Yemen and holders UAE in Oman.
