Egyptian winger Mohamed Abdul-Wahed returned from injury to score in Lierse's 3-3 draw with Beveren in the Belgian second-division on Saturday. The former Zamalek man, who recovered from a calf problem, put Lierse in front after 21 minutes. He fired a powerful left-footed shot from the edge of the area that left the keeper with no chance. Abdul-Wahed took his tally to three league goals this season. He also dished out four assists so far. Right-back Ahmed Samir, Abdul-Wahed's compatriot, also took part in the match and put in a fine display. Lierse, who aim to book a place in the top-flight after spending two seasons in the second-tier competition, are fourth in the league table with 27 points, nine adrift of leaders Sint-Truidense. The league winner directly qualifies for the Belgian first division while teams from the second to the fifth places enter promotion play-offs.
