Tunisia's Sfaxien have claimed the CAF Confederation Cup title for the second year running after holding compatriots Etoile Sahel to a 2-2 away draw on Sunday. A score draw was enough for the 2006 Champions League finalists to lift the trophy on the away-goal rule after the first leg had ended goalless. Sfaxien are now to face Champions League winners Ahli in the African Super Cup in Cairo. The seven-time Tunisian champions stunned the hosts as early as the third minute, thanks to Agyeman Opoku's goal On 37 minutes, Abdul Karim Nafti doubled the lead to make matters worse for Etoile, who needed three goals to overturn the deficit.
Abou-Treika marred Sfaxien's dream in 2006 Emeka Opara and Aymen Bouchioua brought Etoile level after scoring on 75 and 78 minutes respectively. Revenge Now Sfaxien have the chance to avenge their bitter loss to Ahli in the CAF Champions League final back in 2006. The Tunisian side were seconds away from winning the prestigious title, but Mohamed Abou-Treika's memorable last-gasp volley ended their dream in a blink of an eye. Ahli have won the African Super Cup three times in 2002, 2006 and 2007, whereas Sfaxien haven't won the continental title thus far.
