Sion chairman-coach Christian Constantin carried out his threat and decided to prevent the team's fans from spectating the upcoming home matches from the third-class rows. The controversial president was heavily jeered over his team's stuttering form and recurring losses since he appointed himself as an interim tactician. The enraged supporters also pounded away at several players, including Egyptian goalie Essam Al-Hadari, who has announced he will seal a new move by the January transfer window. "We are better off without a bunch of stupid fans," Constantin told Sion's official website, referring to the undisciplined spectators of the third-class seating.
Al-Hadari still unsettled Al-Hadari Under Fire Constantin had previously warned to react fiercely against the fans' misconduct, and also defended the beleaguered guardian who was taunted during the 3-1 win over Vaduz. Although the 35-year-old put in a good display during the match, the spectators cheered the name of substitute keeper Germano Vailati. Sion, who lie sixth in the local league table with 16 points, announced on their official website the closure of the third-class seating, mentioning only members are entitled to purchase first-class tickets from inside the club. Members with season tickets are also allowed to attend Sion's games.
