Bayern Munich are set to make a double raid on Zenit Petersburg as they aim to capture Anatoly Tymoschuk and Andrei Arshavin, German media reported on Tuesday. Bild said that Zenit skipper Tymoschuk is considered as an automatic replacement for unsettled Dutch midfielder Mark Van Bommel, who will run out of contract next summer. The 29-year-old Ukrainian international, who is one of the pillars of the Russian champions, is likely to cost Bayern around €15M. Tymoschuk was close to joining Bayern last summer, but the deal was not completed as the future of Van Bommel was uncertain.

With his Zenit exit imminent, reports emanating from Spain stressed that Primera Liga champions Real Madrid have entered the race to sign Arshavin, who is already on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur.
