A number of Premiership clubs can all be purchased by Arab businessmen within the next few months, the Daily mail reported on Sunday. British powerbroker Amanda Staveley, who helped in concluding the purchase of Manchester City by Abu Dhabi United Group, confirmed that more Middle Eastern capital will be flowing towards the Premiership in the near future. With Everton, West Ham, Newcastle now offered in the market, Staveley confirmed that the clubs are all being targeted by Arab businessmen. The Daily mail said that Seymour Pierce executive chairman Keith Harris, is currently working with Bill Kenwright of Everton to sell the Merseyside club. West Ham vice-chairman Asgeir Fridgeirsson also said that owner Bjorgolfur Gudmundsson is looking to sell the club after the bank which he owns collapsed. With both clubs to be sold soon, Arab companies are in pole position to acquire the Premiership facilities. "I can't believe Arab companies are looking at investments on which they can make returns. I assume they don't have any unique knowledge that would enable them to do that. But I can see why they would want to own a club as a trophy," said Harris.
