Egypt coach Hassan Shehata said he's yet to give his final vote for the African player of the year award. With both Amr Zaki and Mohamed Abou-Treika among this year's nominees, earlier media reports suggested that Shehata already voted for the former. "I haven't submitted my vote as I'm yet to receive the voting application in the first place," Shehata told FilGoal.com on Saturday. The prestigious award is decided by votes of 53 coaches of all nations affiliated to the African Football Association (CAF). "Both players had a great year with Egypt and their clubs, but I confirm that I'm yet to make my mind about the vote." It is well worth noting that no Egyptian won Africa's best player award since Mahmoud Al-Khatib 25 years ago.
