Zamalek ace Shikabala is set to return to action next October, despite his long-term ban by FIFA. Shikabala was handed a six-month ban and a €990,000 fine for joining Zamalek from PAOK Saloniki via illegal procedures. The verdict was imposed last December, but the decision was actually upheld in June 2008 when Zamalek's appeal was rejected. However, Whites' chairman Mamdouh Abbas explained that the 22-year-old wizard has already served part of his ban, following the initial ruling by the Court of Arbitration for Sport. "Shikabala should return in October because he has already been out from December 2007 till February 2008, so he will complete six months in October," Abbas told FilGoal.com. Regarding the fine, Zamalek paid €450,000 to PAOK, who will receive the rest of the amount next month.
