I'm proud to have played for Hamburg – Zidan
Published in FilGoal on 17 - 08 - 2008

Egyptian forward Mohamed Zidan has completed a move to Dortmund but he does not regret the time he spent with Hamburg SV.
In an interview with Hamburg's official website, Zidan gave his thoughts on his HSV adventure as well as expressing his hopes for the future.
Mohamed, at the end everything went so quickly, were you keen on the Dortmund move?
Yes, that's true. Of course it's a pity that I had to leave Hamburg so quickly, but I am sure I have made the right decision to join Dortmund. I need to play games and I knew Dortmund were interested, so I accepted the offer.
You had a difficult time with Hamburg since last season, but what are the positive outcomes of your time at the club?
The positive thing is that I played in a very big club, one of the top clubs in the Bundesliga, and I am proud to have played for HSV. I always said that playing for Hamburg was like a dream for me.
I was very happy in the city, people were friendly and I enjoyed my stay with the club, but the only problem is that I couldn't find a regular place in the team, so I had to move. But I wish Hamburg the best of luck and I think they are capable of holding a top position.
You were with Hamburg against Bayern in the 2-2 draw on Friday. Will you play for Dortmund against Jurgen Klinsmann's team next weekend and give some tips for your new team?
I was sad because I did not have the chance to play in the Bayern game, but of course I will do my best to help my new team beat the Bavarians at the weekend.
Hamburg proved against Bayern that nothing is impossible, they recovered well to turn the score, and they could have even won the game.
In Dortmund, you will work again with Jurgen Klopp, whose relationship with you is fine, are you looking forward to cooperate with him again?
I look to the team as a whole, but I am also looking forward to reunite with Klopp. I had a good time with him at Mainz and I think we will succeed at Dortmund.
