Players' agent Nader Shawki, who is acting as a mediator between Wigan and Zamalek in Amr Zaki talks, denied that Steve Bruce contacted the Egypt striker. A report posted on Zaki's official website on Tuesday said that Wigan boss Bruce called upon the international striker to withdraw his complaint against Zamalek. However, Shawki insists there is nothing in repots indicating that Bruce interfered in Zaki's problems with Zamalek. "Bruce did not make any call with Zaki last week," he told FilGoal.com on Thursday. "The English manager neither advised Zaki to withdraw his complaint nor had any interference." The 25-year-old sent a letter to the Egyptian FA demanding to terminate his contract with Zamalek. Zaki claims that Zamalek haven't paid him his dues since November. He fears that his anticipated move to Wigan fails after Zamalek chairman Mamdouh Abbas hinted at the possibility to keeping Zaki for another season.
